| Bombardier is a Canadian group founded by Joseph Armand Bombardier in 1942 at Valcourt Quebec. In 1937 Joseph Armand Bombardier was a mechanic who manufactured the first snowmobile changing the way of traveling in snow. At first snowmobiles were vehicles designed to take children to school, deliver groceries, in Quebec during winter. During the 2nd world war Armand opened a new factory to supply also vehicles for the military. In the 1950, when all roads had to be cleared of snow, according to new safety regulations, snowmobile became an obsolete vehicles, and Armand became to produce all terrain vehicles for mining industries. In 1959 Armand launched on the market a mini 2 seat snowmobile, called Ski dog (known as sky doo) because this vehicle could replace the dogs in snow mobility.
